Over the years of multiple photoshoots my main goal has become documenting moments that evoke emotion. We had so much fun being a bit playful/sexy together for our outdoor maternity boudoir photoshoot. Three looks and locations were styled for family maternity photos and the fourth was just for Spencer and I. We actually ended up with four unique locations and corresponding outfits. From those mood boards I then created potential looks. My first step in the styling process was to produce several mood boards. From styling to editing and composition we all had the chance to explore our creativity. Jes and I had several conversations leading up to our photos and knew we both desired to try something new. She was able to help narrow our selection based on light direction and timing in terms of daylight and sunset. Spencer and I narrowed the list down to a handful and the day before our shoot we scouted with Jes. We had our pick of lakes, rivers, mountains, waterfalls, and fields. Which made it easy to create a new list of epic locations that would accommodate our photos. Thankfully Glacier NPS is packed with endless landscapes and jaw dropping vistas. The snow was late and what was once calm water was now high and raging with rapids. But this summer was much different than the past. Having already spent the previous summer there I had a few favorite locations in mind. There are so many breathtaking locations throughout Glacier NPS and I was anything but short of inspiration for our photo shoot. After chatting a bit we realized a quick detour would be perfect for a visit and our maternity photoshoot. Coincidentally Kade’s Aunt Jes from Maewood Photography happened to be traveling near us toward the end of July. So it was only fitting that our family maternity photos take place during this time. We spent the summer in the Glacier National Park area which happens to be one of our favorite places. But first it gets a little spicy as I share our outdoor maternity boudoir photoshoot with Jes from Maewood Photography. As for now I have life updates, family photos, fall fashion and all the baby things to share with you. But I promise they will shortly reoccur on Sundays again soon. However, our daughter is due soon so my cadence of blog posts might be irregular for a bit. Woohoo blog posts are back! After a summer hiatus to really enjoy time as a family of three I am finally posting again.
